Hi – I’m Kim, a 66 year old widow. My life has been a series of hardships and challenging times – and whose hasn’t! I was a single mom raising 3 children for 12 years. Then, I met my husband at church, whom I thought would be a wonderful father and husband. Then my husband was murdered which, in and of itself, was a horrific tragedy. A few years later, I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.
Throughout all of these challenges, though I was going to church every Sunday and sang in the church “band”, I didn’t always turn towards God. This led me down some wrong paths. However, when I do turn towards God and lift up my hand to His, God is ALWAYS there, waiting for me to ask. When I finally do turn back to God, I find an incredibly happy and fulfilled life!
I have been cancer free for 6 years and have truly, never been happier! I am hoping that my writings about my journeys will give you a hope-filled heart!

My 90 year old father recently past away. Some of his last words to me were: “You are a wise and well meaning mother and a seeker of the truth”.
A seeker of the truth… That truly defines my inquisitive attitude towards my own life. I have a need to understand what am I feeling, why am I feeling this way, and what can I do about it to feel better about the situation.
